Blind Contour Drawings

Have you tried blind contour drawing before?

This isn’t the first time I’ve tried contour drawing or blind contour drawing. Contour drawing is when you draw an object without lifting the pencil and blind contour drawing is when you close your eyes whilst drawing without lifting your pencil from the paper. Blind contour drawing is more challenging as you can not see where your pencil is going.

I love these two drawings, such unique line directions, form and shapes. Even the weight varies. My Mum loves drawings like these.
